Due to utility maintenance, KUB will have lane closures on W. Church Ave., Cumberland Ave. and Henley St. March 7-10.
Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – W. Church Avenue Road Closure [March 7-10] – KUB and its contractor will close a short section of W. Church Avenue between Locust Street and Henley Street to traffic nightly between 6:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., starting Monday, March 7, through Thursday, March 10, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project. The northbound, curbside lanes of Henley Street will also be closed during this timeframe per the previously issued traffic advisory. The closed section of W. Church Avenue will be reopened to traffic outside of work hours. Alternate routes include Locust Street and Cumberland Avenue.
Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Cumberland Avenue/Main Street Lane Closure [March 7-9] – KUB and its contractor will implement a lane closure of the eastbound, curbside lane of Cumberland Avenue/Main Street between Eleventh Street and Popular Street from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m., starting Monday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 9, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project following weather delays.
Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – Henley Street Lane Closures [March 7-10] – KUB and its contractor will implement lane closures on southbound Henley Street between W. Church Avenue and Cumberland Avenue from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m., starting Monday, March 7, through Thursday morning, March 10, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained during this work. Work hours with lane closures will be from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m., with occasional lane closures for prep-work taking place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., as necessary.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
