To give downtown parkers more options and face-to-face personal service, the Public Building Authority has opened a parking services office at 535 W. Clinch Ave., on the street-level south side of the Locust Street Garage.
“We wanted to make it as convenient as possible for people to explore their parking options or to pay for their monthly parking,” said Jayne Burritt, PBA’s Chief Executive Officer. “With PBA recently assuming management of the publicly-owned garages downtown, it just made sense to enhance our relationship with our customers by opening up a parking services office.”
The PBA office at 535 W. Clinch Ave. will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Want to check rates and availability at various downtown garages? Need a rear-view mirror hang tag? Want to purchase monthly garage parking (by check or cash, but not by debit or credit card), or get a downtown residential parking discount? Just come by during office hours or call 865-215-2434.
There are now four ways to pay for monthly parking:
• Visit
www.knoxparking.com; in addition to purchasing monthly parking by credit card, visitors can easily get information about each PBA-managed garage and compare parking rates;
• Mail a check to: PBA, P.O. Box 433, Knoxville TN 37902;
• Leave a check with the PBA attendant at any PBA-managed garage; or
• Visit the new 535 W. Clinch Ave. office.
Starting July 1, PBA assumed management of City-owned garages and surface parking lots, as well as traffic enforcement duties throughout downtown Knoxville and along the Cumberland Avenue Corridor.
