Construction work by Norfolk Southern Railway will close a short portion of North Central Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20.
North Central will be closed to through traffic between Morelia Avenue and Coram Street to allow for drainage installation and resurfacing at a railroad crossing.
Northbound traffic will be detoured east on Morelia to Pershing Street, north on Pershing to Atlantic Avenue, and west on Atlantic back to Central.
The southbound detour will be the same in reverse.
