Portions of the Neyland and James White greenways that span Knoxville’s downtown riverfront will be closed overnight next week, starting at 8 p.m. on Monday, June 6.
The overnight closures, part of a proactive Knoxville Utilities Board maintenance project, also will affect Volunteer Landing and Gov. Ned McWherter Riverside Landing Park.
KUB crews will start work on the maintenance project each evening at 8 p.m. and will reopen the trails by 6 a.m. the following morning. The work is scheduled to be completed by 6 a.m. Saturday, June 11.
The affected greenways and parks will be open for public use during the day throughout the duration of the project.
