City of Knoxville offices and recreation centers will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 4, 2017.
Waste Connections, the City’s residential garbage service contractor, will run on regular schedules. Downtown trash and recycling will also be collected following regular schedules.
The City's recycling centers will be open throughout the weekend. However, the Goodwill Industries attendant will not be available for household goods donations on Monday, Sept. 4.
The City's Solid Waste Management Facility, located at 1033 Elm St., will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 2, and Monday, Sept. 4. “Free for City Residents Saturday” at the Solid Waste Management Facility will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) buses and trolleys will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday, September 4. Visit katbus.com for detailed information.
Inskip Pool, located at 4204 Bruhin Rd., will be open on Labor Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the last day of the 2017 outdoor pool season. The pool will reopen for canine swim only on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2017 for the City’s annual “Doggie Dip” event.
