Dogwood Arts’ April finale downtown starts at 11 a.m. today and continues through 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30. A reminder to motorists: Anticipate temporary no-parking zones and street closures on Clinch Avenue, Union Avenue and Market Street.
Several blocks are transformed this weekend into a popular street fair for Dogwood Arts. The free festival offers more than 60 local and regional juried artists exhibiting and selling their original work in Market Square and Krutch Park Extension.
In addition, festival attendees can take in performing arts, culinary arts demonstrations and tastings, and an expanded children’s creation station. Blooming Boulevard returns, providing colorful flower markets with live blooming plants, herbs, flowers and trees. Until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, these streets downtown will be temporarily closed:
- Clinch Avenue, between Gay and Walnut streets;
- Union Avenue, between Gay and Walnut streets; and
- Market Street, between Church and Union avenues.
