City of Knoxville offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.
Knoxville Area Transit will operate its buses and trolleys on a Saturday schedule on Monday, Jan. 15.
Waste Connections will collect residential garbage and recycling on its regular schedule Monday, Jan.15, through Friday, Jan. 19. Downtown trash and recycling will also be collected as usual throughout the holiday weekend.
The City’s recycling centers will be open for recycling drop-off, but Goodwill attendants will not be available to collect household donations on Monday, Jan. 15.
The City’s Solid Waste Management Facility, 1033 Elm St., will be closed Saturday, Jan. 13, through Monday, Jan. 15. On Tuesday, Jan.16, delays should be expected as construction begins on Building 5, lasting through Feb. 2.
