Due to utility maintenance, KUB will have lane closures at N. Middlebrook Pike Lane, Millertown Pike, Neubert Springs and State Street.
(West Knoxville) N. Middlebrook Pike Lane Closure [May 22] – KUB crews will implement a lane closure of the westbound, curbside lane of N. Middlebrook Pike between Henson Road and Leeper Lane from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. One westbound lane and both eastbound lanes will remain open during this time. Appropriate signage and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control, and access to area homes and businesses will be maintained. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
(Northeast Knoxville) Millertown Pike, Intermittent Lane Closure [May 22- 25] – KUB contract crews will implement a one lane closure of the eastbound lane of Millertown Pike at Mill Road from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, through Friday, May 25, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. Appropriate signage and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
(South Knoxville) Neubert Springs Road [May 22] – KUB crews will implement a road closure on Neubert Springs Road, between W. Ford Valley Road and E. Governor John Sevier Highway from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. Alternate routes include Chapman Highway, W. Ford Valley Road, and Governor John Sevier Highway. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
(Downtown Knoxville) State Street Intermittent Lane/Road Closures [Overnight, May 22-25] – KUB crews will implement intermittent lane closures as needed on State Street between Cumberland Avenue and Union Avenue starting at 9 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, through 5 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, then again from 9 p.m. Thursday May 24, through 5 a.m. Friday, May 25; as work is performed on the electric distribution system in the area. State Street between Cumberland Avenue and W. Church Avenue will be briefly closed as work is completed on this block but during all other times one lane of northbound traffic will remain open, and all lanes will reopen after work hours. Access to local businesses will be maintained, and flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas.
