KUB crews will implement intermittent lane closures as needed on State Street between Cumberland Avenue and Union Avenue overnight from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m., on Tuesday, April 10 through Wednesday morning, April 11, and again Thursday, April 12, through Friday morning, April 13, to allow safe access to manholes. There will also be a full closure on the section of State Street between Cumberland Avenue and W. Church Avenue lasting approximately 1 hour when KUB crews are present. During all other times one lane of northbound traffic will remain open. Access to local businesses will be maintained, and flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. This traffic control plan will need to be implemented several times in the coming weeks to complete work, and additional advisories will be issued.
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas. More information on this and other KUB construction projects can be found at www.kub.org.
