On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB), along with its partners at Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee (CAC), and City of Knoxville (COK), will introduce Home Uplift, a program in support of KUB’s Round It Up to provide weatherization assistance for low-income households in our community.
Through funding provided by TVA, the program will double the number of homes CAC can serve with weatherization retrofits over the next two years.
This initiative builds off the success of other programs, like Knoxville Extreme Energy Makeover, in making our community more energy efficient and helping income-limited households gain better control of utility costs.
The announcement will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, at the City of Knoxville Public Works Service Center located at 3131 Morris Avenue, Knoxville 37909.
Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero, TVA EnergyRight® Solutions Program Manager Beth Parsons, KUB Board of Commissioners Chair Celeste Herbert, and other KUB representatives will be on hand for questions.
