City of Knoxville’s Community Development Department and Pinnacle Financial Partners will present the 7th Annual Equity Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, Apr. 23, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. in The Press Room at 730 N. Broadway.

City of Knoxville Director of Community Development Becky Wade, Community Development staff members, HUD Knoxville Field Office Director Bob Cook and area housing and community development partners gather for this year’s Equity Awards to honor individuals, businesses, organizations, committees, advisory councils and events whose commitments and efforts have strengthened equality and inclusion in our community. 

Four organizations will receive awards in these categories:

• Fair, Affordable and Accessible Housing
• Access and Inclusion
• Community Impact 
• Economic Development

The Equity Awards are held during National Community Development Week, an opportunity to highlight and celebrate community development-funded projects, community partners and activities. Later in the week, Community Development staff members will join NHI Operation Backyard Volunteer Day on a home repair project.
