The 2019 Diversity Business Enterprise Awards Ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m. (breakfast at 8 a.m.) in the Small Assembly Room on Sept. 26, 2019.
The ceremony will recognize DBEs (small, women-owned and minority-owned businesses) for outstanding performance that advances one or more of the City of Knoxville’s core goals.
The City's core goals include:
• Promoting sustainable operations and communities;
• Encouraging active, engaged neighborhoods;
• Stimulating robust growth with quality business expansion and retention; and
• Energizing the core and expanding outward.
The ceremony will recognize City departments which have achieved either the highest dollar or highest percentage of competitive spend with DBE’s. A City employee who has markedly helped the City achieve core goals will also be recognized.
