This Thursday, February 28, Keep Knoxville Beautiful will be hosting its 37th annual Orchids Beautification Awards from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. The event will be held at The Press Room, 730 North Broadway.
Orchids Awards have been presented to architects, construction companies, developers, and artist since 1979 that are beautifying our dynamic city. This year there will be over 300 attendees.
The 2019 Orchids Awards will be the kick off to Keep Knoxville Beautiful’s 40th Anniversary. Keep Knoxville Beautiful will be announcing its next Community of the Year as well as plans to celebrate this important milestone.
Mayor Madeline Rogero will be the keynote speaker along with a special guest, Randy Hartman from Keep America Beautiful. Keep Knoxville Beautiful will also be honoring Tom Salter, executive director of Keep Knoxville Beautiful from 1997 to 2007 and recently retired Knox County Solid Waste Director.
