City of Knoxville offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Be advised of holiday-related changes in other City services:
• Waste Connections will not collect household garbage or recycling collection on Thursday, Nov. 26. Instead, they will run Thursday routes on Friday and Friday routes on Saturday. Residents should have garbage and recycling containers out for pickup before 7 a.m. on their pickup day. Christmas is the only other day of the year when residential curbside trash and recycling are not picked up as scheduled.
• Downtown garbage and recycling collection will run on regular schedule during Thanksgiving week.
• The City's five recycling centers will be open, but the Goodwill attendant will not be available for household goods donations on Thursday, Nov. 26.
• The City's Solid Waste Facility located at 1033 Elm Street will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 through Saturday, Nov. 28, and will resume normal operating hours on Monday, Nov. 30.
• The 311 Center for Service Innovation will be closed Thursday and Friday. Residents needing to make reports to 311 or access 211 services over the holiday weekend are encouraged to visit

Knoxville Area Transit buses and trolleys will not operate on Thursday and will run on a Saturday schedule on Friday, Nov. 27.
