City of Knoxville offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, for the Labor Day holiday.
This weekend, residents can take one last splash in the City’s Inskip Pool.
Inskip Pool, at 4204 Bruhin Road, will be open 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday and Monday, and 1 - 6 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $4 per person.
Be advised of the following holiday-related schedule changes:
- The 311 Center for Service Innovation will be closed Sept. 6. Residents are encouraged to make reports to 311 via the My Knoxville app, available for Apple and Android. Requests can also be made at KnoxvilleTN.gov/311. For a list of social services available in our community, utilize the City’s chatbot at KnoxvilleTN.gov/chat or 211.org.
- KAT buses will run a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 6. Lift service will operate on a Saturday schedule, and trolleys will not run. The Knoxville Station Customer Service Counter will be closed.
- The City's Solid Waste Facility, at 1033 Elm St., which includes the Household Hazardous Waste facility, will be closed Saturday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 6. The Free-for-City-Residents Day is rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11.
- Waste Connections will run its normal residential garbage and recycling routes on the holiday. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only days when residential curbside trash and recycling are not picked up as scheduled. City crews will also collect downtown trash and recyclables on its regular schedule.
- The City's five recycling drop-off centers will be open, but the Goodwill attendant will not be on site Monday, Sept. 6, to receive donations of household goods. Please don’t leave donations at unattended centers.
