City of Knoxville offices will be closed Monday, May 30, 2022, for the Memorial Day holiday.
Waste Connections will run its normal residential garbage and recycling routes on Monday. (Remember that Thanksgiving and Christmas are the only days when residential curbside trash and recycling are not picked up as scheduled.)
Downtown trash and recyclables will be collected as usual on Monday and during the holiday weekend.
The City's Solid Waste Facility, 1033 Elm Street, will be closed Saturday, May 28, through Monday, May 30.
Knoxville Area Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Monday, May 30.
The City's five recycling drop-off centers will be open May 30, but the Goodwill attendant will not be present to receive donations of household goods. Please refrain from leaving donations at unattended donation centers.
The Memorial Day closure includes the 311 Center for Service Innovation, which operates the 311 and 211 phone numbers. Residents who need to report issues to 311 or access 211 services are encouraged to download the My Knoxville app for Apple and Android devices. App download links are posted at https://www.KnoxvilleTN.gov/app. Residents may also submit reports regarding potholes in local roads, graffiti, overgrown lots and other neighborhood issues at KnoxvilleTN.gov/311, via email
