The City of Knoxville Small Business & Diversity Outreach Office will host its annual DBE Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at Marble Hall Chapel in Lakeshore Park. The awards ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The annual awards recognize small, women-owned and minority-owned businesses, collectively known as Diversity Business Enterprises, or DBEs, for outstanding performance that advances one or more of the City of Knoxville’s core goals:
Promoting sustainable operations and communities;
Encouraging active, engaged neighborhoods;
Stimulating robust growth with quality business expansion and retention;
Energizing the core and expanding outward; and
Good governance.
Individual City departments and employees will also be recognized for achievements in DBE advocacy and contracting with DBE vendors.
