The City of Knoxville Small Business & Diversity Outreach Office will host its annual DBE Awards on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at Marble Hall Chapel in Lakeshore Park. The awards ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. 

The annual awards recognize small, women-owned and minority-owned businesses, collectively known as Diversity Business Enterprises, or DBEs, for outstanding performance that advances one or more of the City of Knoxville’s core goals:

 Promoting sustainable operations and communities;
 Encouraging active, engaged neighborhoods;
 Stimulating robust growth with quality business expansion and retention;
 Energizing the core and expanding outward; and
 Good governance.

Individual City departments and employees will also be recognized for achievements in DBE advocacy and contracting with DBE vendors. 

The City of Knoxville ensures meaningful access to City programs, services, and activities to comply with Civil Rights Title VI and ADA Title II laws and reasonably provides translation, interpretation, modifications, accommodations, alternative formats, auxiliary aids and services.
