North Knoxville residents are invited to a Neighborhood Safety and Awareness meeting focused on crime data and prevention on Thursday, Nov. 17, 6-8 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd. Meetings about East, West and South Knoxville neighborhoods were held in those areas of town earlier this year.
KPD Officer John Morgan will present crime data for neighborhoods in City Council Districts 4 and 5, including Old North Knoxville, Edgewood Park, Oakwood-Lincoln Park, Fountain City, North Hills and Inskip.
Attendees will learn about initiatives of the
Office of Neighborhood Empowerment, Office of Community Safety, and East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers. Representatives from Knoxville Fire Department, KPD’s Safety City, and other community safety organizations, such as Metro Drug Coalition, will be available to speak to residents as well.
