Parts of Gay Street and additional downtown streets will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic this weekend for the Knoxville Opera’s Rossini Festival, being held Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Gay Street between Summit Hill and Cumberland Avenue will be closed to on-street parking and thru traffic between11:45 p.m. Friday, April 29, and Sunday, May 1 at 6 a.m.
The section of Gay Street between Summit Hill and Clinch Avenue will be open only for vehicles traveling to and from the Hyatt Place and Embassy Suites by Hilton.
Rossini Festival vendors will be set up on Gay Street between Clinch and Cumberland.
These additional sections of roads will be closed to traffic during the aforementioned timeframe:

Clinch Avenue between State and Walnut streets
●
Church between State and Walnut streets
●
Union between State and Walnut streets
