City of Knoxville offices will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023 for the Good Friday holiday.
All City-operated recreation centers are closed Friday.
Waste Connections will run its normal residential garbage and recycling routes, and downtown trash and recyclables will also be collected as usual over the holiday weekend.
The City's five recycling drop-off centers will be open April 7, but the Goodwill attendant will only be available to receive donations of household goods until 1 p.m. Please don’t leave donations at unattended donation centers.
The City's Solid Waste Facility, at 1033 Elm Street, will be closed on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8.
Knoxville Area Transit buses will operate on a regular schedule over the weekend.
Friday’s closure includes the 311 Center for Service Innovation, which operates the 311 and 211 phone numbers. Residents who need to report issues or access services are encouraged to download the My Knoxville app. Download links are posted at
