Beginning in November 2023 and lasting through June 2024, KUB and contractor crews will upgrade water and wastewater infrastructure along N. Broadway between Bluff Avenue and Oglewood Avenue. This includes replacement of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 90-year-old, 10-inch water main with new 8- and 10-inch ductile iron water main in two phases from November 2023 through March 2024, and approximately 2,000 linear feet of wastewater main in three phases starting in January through June 2024. 

Water System Work (Nov. 2023 – March 2024) 

Work will take place Monday through Friday, overnight between 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. with daytime work hours on Saturday and Sunday. 

Inside north- and southbound lanes and the center turn lane will be closed on N. Broadway during work hours. Curbside north- and southbound lanes will remain open. 

Wastewater System Work (January - June 2024) 

Expect continuous 24-hour work days, with continuous closure of northbound and center turn lanes with traffic flow shifted to one northbound and one southbound lane using the southbound lanes.
