PARC Holds Specially Called Vote

Posted: 06/08/2023
Members of the Police Advisory and Review Committee (PARC) will gather for a specially called vote on the appointment of Jered Croom as PARC’s new Executive Director on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. in the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building at 400 Main Street.

In early May, Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon appointed Croom to serve as PARC’s Executive Director as current director Tiffany Davidson transitions into the role of Deputy Director of Community Safety and Empowerment.

The lack of a quorum at PARC’s May 18 meeting prevented members from officially voting on Croom’s appointment.

Established in 1998, PARC is the City’s citizen review board and the longest continuously running citizen-run police advisory board in Tennessee. PARC provides an independent review of police activity and makes recommendations to the Chief of Police.
