Equity Plan - each piece counts
What is an equity plan

An Equity Plan is a fair housing plan that describes the City of Knoxville’s proposed plan to affirmatively further fair housing, required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for recipients of HUD funding. In this plan, the City of Knoxville will commit to goals in its 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan that advance equity in housing, community development programs, and residents’ access to well-resourced areas, opportunity, and community assets.

Be part of the process

Public meetings were held on March 12 and April 27, 2024, to discuss the development of the draft plan and receive feedback. A survey was released on April 19 with comments received through May 19, 2024.

On Aug. 1, 2024, the City released its draft Equity Plan for a 30-day public comment period. A public meeting will be held during the public comment period, on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024 (see public meeting information below).

You may also provide feedback to Fair [email protected] or to Linda Rust by email at [email protected] or in writing at P.O. Box 1630, Knoxville, TN 37902. All comments received through Aug. 31, 2024, will be included in the Plan.
