Directions: Take the James White Parkway exit off of I-40; then take the Summit Hill exit; turn left onto Summit Hill; at the second red light the road turns into Dandridge; make first right after going through the red light onto Hazen Street; park will be on the right side of the road.
This greenway connects to James White Greenway and through Morningside Park to end at Haley Heritage Square. The City plans to connect across the James White (South Knoxville) Bridge to Hillwood and then eventually to Ijams Nature Center and the Will Skelton Greenway.
Morningside Greenway is also part of the Knoxville Track Club's CrossKnox Race, which runs from Haley Heritage Square in East Knoxville all the way to Bearden Elementary School in West Knoxville.
The Alex Haley statue, one of the tallest statues of an African-American in the country, towers over Morningside Park as one of the main trailheads for the greenway.
