The Will Skelton Greenway begins at Island Home Park, runs through Ijams Nature Center and ends at the 300-acre Wildlife Management Area. This is a beautiful greenway located in a very natural setting with panoramic views of the Tennessee River from a variety of perspectives. From the fourth Saturday in August through the end of February, hunters with firearms may be encountered in the area. Bicycle use off of the greenway is prohibited during hunting season.
The greenway also connects to 13 miles of unpaved trails at Ijams Nature Center, which is part of the 50-mile
Urban Wilderness South Loop Trails.
