City Hosts Festival on the 4th on World's Fair Park

Posted: 06/06/2024
Celebration of the 4th
This year’s Festival on the 4th will have more entertainment stages than ever, as the City of Knoxville hosts the community’s largest Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2024, 5-10 p.m. at World's Fair Park.

Festival on the 4th is a free, family-friendly event including activities like water wars, axe-throwing, mini-golf games and paddle boats. Food vendors will be located on both lawns.

Entertainment begins at 5 p.m. and continues throughout the event:

• On the Festival Lawn stage, Knox Vegas DJs spins tunes 5-6 p.m. and Bary Jolly performs Jimmy Buffet’s greatest hits 6-7:45 p.m.

• Mike Snodgrass Band performs 6-7:45 p.m. on the Performance Lawn stage.

• At 8 p.m., Knoxville Symphony Orchestra performs its 40th Annual Free Lawson Family Foundation Independence Day Concert in the Tennessee Amphitheater.

• Fireworks launch from the Henley Bridge at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Video of the KSO’s performance will be broadcast on large screens located on the Performance and Festival lawns.

The event will be held rain or shine.

No alcohol, pets or personal tents/canopies will be permitted on the fair site. Bring your own water bottles to fill at the water station located next to the Performance Lawn entrance or the Knoxville Utilities Board’s water station on the Festival Lawn.

Free parking is available in the World's Fair and Blackstock parking lots and these garages: 11th Street, Locust Street, Walnut Street, State Street and Market Square. Additional ADA parking is available in the Fort Kid lot.

Support for Festival on the 4th comes from Pilot Company, Visit Knoxville, Home Federal Bank, Regal, WBIR Channel 10, Awesome 93.1, Star 102.1, Hot 104.5 and 100.3 The Wolf.
